SportsList is excited to announce the signing of Iranian basketball star Hamed Afagh. Afagh, who represented Iranian Men's National Team this past summer at the Games in Beijing, joins SportsList with high expectations. The 25-year old shooting guard played in all five of Iran's games last August, before being crowned as Asian Champions and averaging 12 points, 3.2 rebounds a game. He shot FG2P of 61.5% and FG3P of 40%. Recruited in July at the NBA Summer League in Utah, Afagh was competing with the Iranian National Team at the Rocky Mountain Revue. SportsList founder Tom Rajabzadeh had a chance to catch the 6'4" star in action, "Hamed helped his club and national team win Asian championship in 2007, and had a good NBA Summer League in Utah. He is the best pure shooter in Asia and a great asset to any organization." His best game in Olympics was against Argentina where he scored 19 points
against San Antonio Spurs Star Manu Ginobli. "I am pleased with the
commitment SportsList team has made to me," says Afagh, "as I am looking
forward to be working with Mr. Rajabzadeh." |
